BUILDING (1:1) ONE IN ONE
Juvenile multifunctional classroom 2019-2020
Juvenile homes Hyderabad and TISS (TATA Institute of Social Sciences) has invited Ketham’s Atelier Architects and Thinking Hand NGO to improve and enhance the existing infrastructure through design, thus creating child friendly environment and also conduct workshops to empower children in these Child Care Institutions. After the initial visit to these institutions, our team is quick to jump into action phase where we have planned activities in Girls Home and Children’s Home for Boys: Accordingly, ‘Creative Workshops’ held on 09th & 10th of February 2019 for Girls and Boys respectively. About 200 children participated in this workshop from both the homes.
Building juvenile innovative classroom space for child friendly environment, currently children are using this place for study, play, and rest. Also for other creative workshops and activates for year around needs. This will change the view of children to more playful and fun space to get back to normal life instead of closed boxes. This also enhances the quality of life in juvenile homes. This is now setting an example for other juvenile institutions because end of the day today’s children are tomorrow’s generation to run our nation to healthier, educated, protected and well developed.
